Gao, Jun (高均)- A National Class A Drummer/Percussionist of the Shanghai Troupe of Kunqu Theatre, Mr. Gao is a Mr. Gao learned to play the clappers and drums used in Beijing opera and Kunqu from his late grandfather Mingliang Gao, the renowned top-ranked Peking opera drummer. He has performed drums and other percussion instruments in full-length plays such as “Jingyang Bell,” “Ban Zhao, the Female Historian,” “The Peony Pavilion,” and “The Palace of Eternal Youth.” He won the Outstanding Drummer/Percussionist Award in the 5th China Kunqu Festival.
